Hello Rahul2011,

You will want to use the substring and translate functions together in something like this:

substring-before(translate(., ",", ""), "#")

However, if you are using the people picker Display Name, I would recommend a helper field for the display value so that the defaults of SharePoint are not changed. This could cause issues later on, if the Approver is used on SharePoint for something like a workflow.

I am populating infopath repeating table with sharepoint list item. In the list one of the column is "Approver"(PersonOrGroup) type. While I am displaying this column(Display Name) in infopath repeating table, I am getting the below value: LastName,, FirstName,#,#,# I want to remove unwanted characters from the display name and want to display in below format: LastName, FirstName ; How can I do this?
