we have a tricky InfoPath form which displays the "The rules or code may be causing an infinite loop" warning message in our environment, but otherwise the form seems to be working correctly. The strange thing is our customer (who is also the creator of this form) doesn't see this warning message at all (in spite of using the very same form) and on the other hand he has a form field validation problem which we don't experience at all: when the customer enters the form field with the validation (the field value must be 4-7 digits) and starts typing, he gets an InfoPath warning message that the value must have 4-7 digits after each entered character (digit).
In our environment the same form field acts as expected - the warning message is only displayed if the form field value is not 4-7 digits and we try to leave the field.
Until we try to leave the field we can type whatever we want into that field without any warning message.

Rings any bells? If anyone had any theory, please feel free to brainstorm a bit...

How is it possible that the same form can behave in such different ways? The only thing that have crossed my mind was perhaps a different behavior of different InfoPath versions towards the same form... We're using InfoPath 2010, I'm not sure, which version of InfoPath the customer uses (we haven't received this info yet).

Still, I'm quite confused why on earth would (using the same form) one environment complain about the "The rules or code may be causing an infinite loop" but worked fine otherwise, while the second is fine with the exception of having to deal with the "form field must have 4-7 digits" whenever any character is typed into the particular form field (until the condition of 4-7 digits is met).

Thanks.
