After adding the new data connection you will find that there is a new secondary data source in your fields task pane.

I'm not sure if you need to search all columns in SharePoint list or a specific column but all those columns will be available in your secondary data source for you to search. Look at the function contains() and see if it could be useful in what you are trying to do.

That should get you started. Let me know if you need further help.

Jun

Query Form - return list results

Hi everyone,

I am new to this Forum and not experienced in Infopath or SharePoint, so apologies in advance if the question is a bit basic.

I have a SharePoint list with various fields and have a nice user friendly InfoPath form for users to add new items to the form. I would now like to have a nice user friendly form to help users search through this list. The will use 5 fields of which some will be drop down's. The main field however is a "Multiple lines of text" field. This is where I want the user to type in a keyword to search for. The results of this search should then show up below the search criteria.

Can this be done easily enough by a novice like myself?

We run SharePoint 2013 and I have InfoPath Designer 2010.

Many thanks
