I use SharePoint.

What I'd do is use a form status field.

1.Draft (if you are using a Save as draft function)
2.Employee Submission
3.Manager Subbmision.

1.Draft is set on form load when form status is blank. Others are set on a view's submit button.

Each status opens up a view of the same form on form load.

You could have another field - Approval Decision on the Manager's view

You could then use views in your SP library to filter your data for various reporting views

Managers are often comfortable in Excel or Access. You could set up reports (filtering)as required and as long as you have your data connection to SP refresh on opening - job done.

InfoPath Form - Multiple Levels of Submission

Hello,

I'm an InfoPath novice in search of some help. I have designed a form for coworkers to submit project proposals. The proposals will be viewed and edited by management and then approved or denied. Once approved, I would like to collect data off of the proposal in an Access database. I don't want to collect data until after the management group has made final approval - they will likely make changes to the original submission before it is approved.

Can I set up two levels of submission?

I am thinking that I will handle this using a folder on the network drive rather than SharePoint. I am using Office 2007.

Thank you in advance for your help.
