In the Value section, when you click fx and open the formula editor, there is a checkbox that says Edit XPath - can you paste the XPath in a reply? I'm guessing you haven't added a filter to the rule. So, when you select the field from the secondary data source, there is a Filter Data button and you can add a filter, like "Title from SharePoint List is equal to Company Name in my main data source" to indicate which row you want.

Selecting correct field from SharePoint

Hi All,

I am putting a form together which has a data connection to our SharePoint Online contacts list.

We have it set up so that in SharePoint it lists - full name, email, phone, company.

I have set up a rule on my "Client_Company_Name" InfoPath field which says that if the content of this box (company name) is equal to one in the sharepoint list then populate the name and email fields with the correct entry from SharePoint.

So...if...

person A works for company 1 I should be able to pick company 1 from the InfoPath drop down menu and info path populates name and email address fields with person A details.

However,

It is just populating the name and email with the first entry on the SharePoint list, not the one that has the same company name so company 2 would always display person A details, not person B as I need.

Hope that makes sense. Any help much appreciated.
