wilkies0106aw is suggesting that you need more conditions on your validation rule - if your drop down is populated and your date picker field is blank, then the validation rule should fire.

Add another condition to your rule. Field 2 is blank.

Hi,

I have a dropdown list, where i have multiple option. And on selection of a particular item in the Dropdown list, the datepicker should become Required.

I have applied the Validation rule and it is working fine. But when i select a date from the calender(which is there in the DatePicker) it still gives me the same Required field validation error message.

And if i explicitly type anything in the datepicker i get the incorrect format error of the datePicker control.

Where I am missing what, please provide inputs on the same. For reference i have attached the sample infoPath form.
