The form is a Holiday request form. Of the many fields I there is two particular fields that I could do with advice on. The fields are 1) Allocated (which is the total annual days holiday available) 2) Requested, this is populated by the user entering a start and end date. Please note that I am currently NOT taking into account the weekends which are not counted as available days. I think I need a list or 2 in SharePoint that contains the names of Staff and the annual holiday leave entitlement, the current requested days and then the balance if the requested days are authorised. So if a same staff member requests more holidays the days allocated will be reduced by the amount previously requested. So, for example is a staff member starts out with an allocation of 40 days and then requests a 10 day break the list will be reduced by 10 leaving him/her with 30. So in a couple of months time if same staff member requests a further 10 days their allocation will be 30 days. I have this showing easily enough in the form itself. but I need the form to check the list for continuing use. Regards. Peter
