I did as you suggested yesterday as far as the text boxes were concerned. The result was that once the choice was made from the people picker listing and OK was clicked, nothing showed up in the textbox or the people picker control. I have also published the simple form to Sharepoint with the same results. Per the instructions referenced, the form has only a title and a people picker control with a textbox recently added with the default value set to DisplayName(). Have you any other ideas?

Re: People picker question

No - I don't think it should remain empty... I'd put the fields associated with the control on the form as text boxes for debugging purposes and see if the values in any of them are set. You may also want to try test publishing your form to your SharePoint site and see if it is populating correctly when opened from SharePoint.

People picker question

I have followed the steps in this people picker tutorial http://www.sharepointassist.com/2009/02/27/adding-a-contact-selectorpeople-picker-to-an-infopath-form/ and have the people picker control functioning in an Infopath 2007 form to the point where if I type a user's last name in the box and click either the right or left button in the control, a list of names shows up. If I select one and click OK the selection box goes away and all I see is the empty control again. My question is, should the people picker control remain empty when a selection is made, and if so, how can I use the data from this control?
