It is possible to hide and show a section using a boolean. The trick here is to add a Formatting Rule that hides the section if the boolean is false, and shows the section if it is true. In order to trigger the boolean to change values, you would need to add rules to a button. I'm attaching a form with two buttons, one for showing the image inside a section, and the other for hiding it. The buttons also hide or show when the boolean is triggered in order to preserve space, or you could also use a check box.

Cheers!

When user click on menu item name a picture of the item "pops up"

I am working on a form our customers will use to select the items they want to see when they come to visit our test kitchen. I want to divide it into sections based on menu type (for example; breakfast, appetizers, salads, beef ideas, etc.). I would like to put in a button that will allow the user to show or hide a section. I am using Info Path 2010.

I also want to have the list of menu items set up so the customer can click on the name of a dish, for example Eggs Benedict and a picture of the item will pop up. I know I can do that by inserting a hyperlink but that opens a browser window and it looks a less professional than if I can just have the image itself appear. I know I can do it with an Acrobat form but that form does not give me the ability to show and hide sections and there are many other benefits to using an InfoPath Form.

This is a basic idea of the layout

Section Title

check box to select the item Item name (this is the text I would like to have set up to show the picture when clicked)
