Thank you for your time, especially on a friday afternoon. I am out of the office until monday, but if you can wait i will place the control in a dry form and shoot you the results. I am not giving up on this quite yet. I am determined to make it work.

Have a great weekend.

Re: Force checkout with custom save

Hi Larry,

Thanks for your time today and for your help finding at least one issue with the CheckinOutXTP - the fact that it doesn't correctly set the publishUrl for content types.

The call to check out the file is failing due to authorization issues (per your error log). My best guess right now is that it's because you have a full trust admin-deployed form.

We will check your scenario here and see if we can repro.

If you can try the XTP with a simpler form that would be useful information, and we'd be happy to comp you a copy of DBXL Basic Web service in exchange for your time.

Thanks again,

Re: Force checkout with custom save

hey again, did I lose.
For some mysterious reason, the download link is unavailable. Apologies for that. Please use the file I'm attaching instead, and add the XTP to your Custom Controls. Hopefully it should work for the browser form you are working on.

Re: Force checkout with custom save

Patrick,

thanks for the prompt response.
I'm attaching a checkin/checkout XTP we did. This works in the browser. You'll have to read through the instructions, but you should be able to get it going.

To use the XTP, go to Add Custom Controls and browse to it. Then select it and drag it into your view. You'll have to follow instructions to configure it.

Good luck!

Force checkout with custom save

I have an IP 2010 browser form with custom save button.
