It seems like such an odd thing to not be able to do however.

Re: Open A Document From A Button - InfoPath 2007

Can't do that with buttons unless you use qRules command to open link in separate browser.

The easy solution for you is to just use a static link in the view. Click on Insert and add a link. This link properties can be configured to have descriptive text and a separate hyperlink.

Open A Document From A Button - InfoPath 2007

This seemed to me like it would be a very easy task as I've had no issue having a command button execute a hyperlink in any other development platform I've ever used. But, I will be dipped if I can figure out how to do it with an InfoPath button.

I have a document in a SharePoint document library that is user instructions on how to use an application I've developed in InfoPath. I want to put a button on my InfoPath main menu form, title it "Help" and have it open the instructions document in my SharePoint library when the button is clicked.

I can add the link to my user instructions in a hyperlink control, but I'd rather do it with a button.

I just know I have to be missing something pathetically easy....what is it?
