In the form, I have a drop down list which is populated by data from another SP list on open.
Is it possible to automatically select a value from the drop down menu in the form when it opens by passing a value in the URL link to the form?

Example:
The drop down menu pulls in the following options from another list:

John

Mary

Jack

Kyle

Is there any way to form the URL to a new form so it would be something like this http://sharepoint/site/etc...etc....?DropdownField=Mary

Then when the link opens the form 'Mary' should already be selected in the drop down?

Is this possible without any coding?
