That would be your department :) I've used a workflow to easily update Word documents with data from Infopath Forms. You might want to look at SharePoint content types, promoting InfoPath columns and using Quick Parts in Word.

Updating a Word template using an InfoPath form

Hi,

I don't need a detailed response to this - just an indication whether what i'm asking is possible and if so the level of difficulty.

So i've written some VBA code which takes information from an excel and uses it to update a Microsoft Word template to create a new document. This is all fairly straight forward - I just save the excel data to some variable and then add the data as text to some Word bookmarks. It's all fully automated and can done by a click of a button on the Excel.

I was wondering whether it is possible to do the same thing from an InfoPath form? Whether I could use some code to create a button which opens the Word template from the form and then updates it using the form data. I've spent a while designing InfoPath forms but to be honest I've found most of the technical aspects beyond my abilities (despite attending a helpful masterclass from Qdabra :-) ). However I willing to learn if it's technically possible.

Thanks
