I am getting problem with date format. I will explain the problem with one short example.

Assume that there are two forms

1. Form A : Project (Date Type : Text ), Start Date ( Data Type : Date) ---> User enter the project name and start date and saves the details.
2. Form B: Project (Data Type : Text, But i changed the text box control to drop down box then showing all the projects of Form A using data connection, Start Date ( Date data type, but i have changed to text box. Because i need to make this box as read only.)

When i select the project name in the Form B, i am allocating start date of that project (getting the info from Form A) to start date. But the problem here is , it is showing xml date format (2002-09-24-06:00) . For this i tried to used like concat(substring(StartDate, 6, 2), "/", substring(StartDate, 9, 2), "/", substring(StartDate, 1, 4)) .......but still getting validation error like "only date alllowed".

How to resolve this problem. But i want the data type of Start date (in Form A & Form B) should be Date only. because i have few date difference calculation with other fields in the same form.

I have attached those forms as zip file.....

Regards,
