I think you are not going to be able to do this with your current limitations. You have to make a change to the list item in order to indicate something has happened permanently.

If you opened each form and had a checkbox to check off that you had verified the work for the form you could then promote that to SP and see it in the view.

You could get someone with access to create a simple workflow for you in SPD that would update a field in the list item to indicate that it has been verified. The workflow could be triggered by a custom link in the dropdown next to the name of the item in the list view.

This is about all I can think of hope it helps.

Re: Demarcate Items On Click in Standard View

I forgot to mention that this is a SharePoint form library that uses an InfoPath form.

Demarcate Items On Click in Standard View

Hi,

I'm coming to you as a last resort. I've been searching this site and all over the internet for a few days and can't find what I'm looking for. My team has a process where we verify our work the day after it is completed (for quality). Sometimes our lists are pretty long and it's easy to get lost going through them. We are looking for a way to mark the items in the list that we've verified, and have it stay after a refresh. We'd like for this to be possible with one click of the mouse, without opening the line item, and without working in Datasheet View.

I found code on the following site that was pretty good at getting rows to highlight on a click, but as soon as the page refreshed the highlights disappeared. http://kb4sp.wordpress.com/2009/07/07/hover-mouseover-highlight-and-click-to-stay-highlighted-in-a-sharepoint-list%e2%80%a6/

I've also searched for ways to add a checkbox to the Standard View, and the most I can get to happen is one checkbox in the heading. I can't get them to appear in front of each row in the list.

I'd be very grateful if someone could help me figure this out.

Limitations:
I don't have security to disable the auto-refresh for IE, I don't have security to edit the Source Code, and I'm not authorized to download anything. So, I'm left trying to find a solution using code, but I'm not a programmer. So, any coding I use has to be written so I can pretty much just copy and paste it into a CEWP on the page.
