I have thought about this option, but my issue with that is all the custom code in this form will not allow it to be compatible with form services.

Re: Possible to ignore locale/regional settings?

When a user opens Infopath form in Filler/client, i.e. on local/client machine, the regional settings/formatting are obviously according to his local settings on his machine of Windows control panel regional settings.
Well, this is the same in all client/local Windows programs (MS Office suite products included) even though they may receive the data from server according to other regional settings

When they (in this case, Infopath forms) are opened in browser are according to server settings.

So, you should use web browser forms.

The problem is that web browser enabled forms can be opened from Sharepoint both in browser and Infopath (Filler). So, you should suppress the latter (the options of opening them in Infopath Filler) on Sharepoint server side which I do not believe available OOTB and requires some coding. Though it is Sharepoint question out of Infopath domain

Re: Possible to ignore locale/regional settings?

ErnestoM,

Thanks for your reply.

Actually my textbox is formatted pretty much the same as yours. See attachment.

Also in the attachment I included 2 pieces of the form showing from my computer (Region=US) and another users computer (Region=Italy).

Re: Possible to ignore locale/regional settings?

How is your textbox formatted?

I don't run into this issue - I'm including a screenshot of some sample formatting.

Possible to ignore locale/regional settings?

I have an InfoPath form that has some textboxes formatted to display English currency.

When a user opens this form in a different country, InfoPath is formatting the currency to match their regional settings.

But the problem is I have a specific requirement from the business that this value should always be formatted as US dollars regardless of the country it is opened from.

The only thing I can think of is to remove the currency formatting, and just toss a dollar sign in as a label, but I am wondering if there is any other way to ignore region/locale settings?
