I went back in to the form and the check boxes were markes as Text (Yes/No) when they should have been True/False (boolean). I changed the Data Type to True/False and changed the "Value when cleared" field to Blank. As part of my epiphany I also put the Submit button in a hidden section that becomes visible only when all the check boxes are not blank, i.e, checked. It works exactly as intended.

Thanks again. You were right.

Re: Save and Submit Options

Well, you may want to check the properties of the field bound to each of the checkboxes - it may be the default value is FALSE - so the checkboxes appear blank, but the form passes validation because the field itself is not blank.

Save and Submit Options

I have a form that needs to be updated throughout a shift. I have completed the form and enabled the multiple saving of the form. When it is Submitted the form's status is changed to "FINAL" and the name is created using the concat formula. That all works fine. The issue I am having id I have a series of checkboxes that need to be checked before the form can be submitted. The form can be submitted even though these checkboxes are blank and the properties say cannot be blank. What can I do to insure the form cannot be submitted with these checkboxes being blank.

I am using Rules on the Submit button and I am using Sharepoint 2010 as well as Infopath 2010.

Thanks
