I'm limiting them today to insertion by reference, but for review and publication, the images (like the attachments) will need to be centrally located for end users.

Oh, and I'm purchasing qRules as we speak/type to address the attachment side of this equation.

Re: Save rich text images to SharePoint

No, I'm sorry - we don't have that functionality currently - I'll add a feature case for use to investigate this for a possible future add.

Have you thought about not allowing the addition of images in the rich text control and using a picture control instead? If you did that, qRules could be used to save the files to SharePoint.

Save rich text images to SharePoint

I see that Qdabra has a tool for saving image and file attachments to a SharePoint list, but is there a mechanism for saving images that are embedded in a rich text control to a SharePoint list and updating the associated image URL?

Specifically: I have a form that a user may work on sporadically before submitting and add images to a rich text control from thier local file system. On Submit (to a Sharepoint form library managed by a K2 Blackpoint process) any embedded images need to be saved to a SharePoint list/library and the URLs updated.
