You can enable and configure in Library settings > Versioning settings

There are IMO overcomplicated 3 Ways to auto-number InfoPath forms submitted to a SharePoint form library , though they leave blank the question what to do with Save and Save As which can be changed by a user.

If to implement it, then the simplest way is:

Autonumber InfoPath forms without code (using rules and formulas)

which again has overcomplicated description (to very simple issue).

It is much simpler, without creating any rules, additional fields and a receive data connection to enter in the submit data connection the formular like, for example :

concat("Change for whatever you want"; now())

Hello,

I have craeted a infopath form and published on a sharepoint i have disabled overwriting of a form,this is causing a problem when the same user updates the form with the same details.

I need a new form to be created evrytime it is updated,the existing one should also be present along with the new one.I am unable to do this it gives an error saying there is already another form with the same name.

How do i overcome this issue.
