Right click it and you can add a field - this field will be in the main data source, not connected to the database. Make the field the right data type (base 64) and then you should be able to drag and drop it onto your for for an attachment.

I need to add an attachment control to my Info-Path form that submits to Access and email

I have an InfoPath form that I have set up with two data connections, an email submit and a database submit. The main submit button goes to an email address. This allows the form to be reviewed and approved before being submitted to the Access database. I then added an "Action" button with a custom rule, so once the recipient of the email approves it, he/she then submits the form to the Access database. My problem is, I need to add an "attachment" button so when the form is submitted by email, the user can attach a form that needs to be reviewed. When I try to add the "attachment" control it asks me set the binding. I dont need this binded to the database, I just need the attachment to be sent by email with the main email submit. I tried adding a field in Access with "attachment" as the type of data, however when my form connects to that database it says that it won't allow to submit because of that data type. I am at a loss. I am very new to Info-Path and do not know how to use code, etc. ANY help is greatly appreciated!!
