I'm not sure why InfoPath requires the use of the same version of Office as it is - but it does seem to. So perhaps instead, you could provide some detail on the issues you are having with using your form in InfoPath 2010?

Infopath 2003 with outlook 2010

Hi,

At our office we are slowly going from using Win Vista x86 with office 2003 to Win7 x64 with office 2010.
We are using Infopath forms for an ordering process where the order needs to be approved by several approvers.
When the form is sent either by requestor or approver, it is send via email.

Because the userID of the approver is locked in the form, by means of an certificate and some code, we cannot use this form with InfoPath 2010 because that one has a problem with the certificate and code.
I figured this would be solved by having some people use Infopath 2003 besides the 2010 version on their laptop.

But now we got another problem: Infopath explicitly demands to use outlook 2003 to send the email with the datafile attachement.
So this would mean that besides installing an older version of Infopath, we also need to install outlook 2003??

Or is there another solution to fix this?

Why can Infopath 2003 not just use any installed email-client?

rg,
Eric
