Do you mean that my summary and details would be part of a group that just repeats as the form goes on? If so, then no, that wouldn't work. I have a feeling that Infopath cannot do what I'm hoping it can do :(

Re: How to repeat a table but only if needed?

It sounds like you just need to bind both tables to the same repeating group, and then display different information in the two of them accordingly. Would that work in your case?

How to repeat a table but only if needed?

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in my problem. I am a very new user to Infopath and have created my first form. The form has two parts, a Summary section and a Details section with each part being a table. In the Summary section it will have multiple entries and for each entry there will be a Details section, fairly straight forward. Because there is never going to be one form the same as the next, what I want to do is have the Details section repeat only as many times as the quantity of items in the Summary section. So for example if I have 5 items listed in the Summary section than I want 5 Details sections to be displayed, likewise if I only have 3 items in the Summary section, there would only be 3 Details sections displayed.

First of all, am I crazy? Can this even be done with Infopath or would I need to go about this another way?

I appreciate any help that you can provide.

~FOX~
