Infopath form created and opened as a .xml instead of Infopath form Template

Dear All,

I have created a new InfoPath form template and Published as a site content type to a form library("XXX"). The Infopath form created in this form library("XXX") through the workflow when the item created in other "YYY" list. So far it works properly. Three days back I have modified and republished the Infopath form template again. From that day onwards, when the workflow creates a Infopath form in the form library("XXX"). The forms are created and opened as a normal .xml file instead of the open as a Infopath form template.

Could you please any one suggest to find out the root cause of the issue.

It is an urgent need, the issue occured in the production site. The infopath forms are not generated in a correct format. Please do the needful.
