Have you tried adding a data connection to the SharePoint library where your workflow lives and filter on the ID for the form and get the status? Should be easy to do.

i have an infopath form for purchase order for which i have a workflow created ...

the requirement is the workflow information which we obtain i want it on the infopath form so that when the purchase order is printed it is with all the approver comments and the workflow status
