If your field is a number / decimal in the form, you can promote the sum of the repeating table to the library. Then it is just a matter of knowing what instance of that you need in your new form (same customer or ID of some kind) and you can query for data from the form library.

Export or copy data from rows(fields) of a repeating table to auto populate on opening the next form

I am trying to devise a way to copy data (export) out of a particular field (ie: ending cash total) in each row of a repeating table on one browser enabled form template upon submitting it and automatically populate a different field (ie: starting cash total) of a repeating table upon opening the next instance of the form. The data copied out of the first form's table would need to have a separate designator (ID) for each row and a value from a field in that row. This data would then need to be populated into the same designator (ID) but a different field in that row on the next opened instance of that form template. Sounds a little complicated, but in reality its kind of a store and forward type of transaction. Can anyone help me please or give some pointers on if this conceptual idea is possible within InfoPath and Sharepoint? Thanks

DaveF
