Even if only a handful of rules are listed, one of them must be causing the issue. Try "turning them off" one at a time to see if you can narrow down which one is causing the issue. In InfoPath 2010 you can disable rules, so hopefully that allows some troubleshooting to narrow down the culprit. Good luck!

Customizing Form (Infopath 2010) for SharePoint 2010

We recently updated to SharePoint 2010 and Office 2010. I'm trying to customize the form for one of our SharePoint lists. Everything is okay until I tried to add 3 new fields w/4 rules which resulted in this error message:

"An error occurred in the form's rules or code. The number of rule actions or the number of calls to the OnAfterChange event for a single update in the data exceeded the maximum limit."

The only existing rule on my sharePoint list is the DateReferred field with now() default value.

The three new fields on the InfoPath form came from this site: http://alecpojidaev.wordpress.com/2008/12/30/infopath-codeless-programming-walkthrough-2/ to calculate the date difference. I tried creating from blank infopath form with these fields and rules, and they work fine.

Any idea how to fix this issue? I don't know how to find the other rules or codes the error message mentioned. The Rule Inspector only listed the 4 rules I added and one existing rule for the DateReferred list column. My SharePoint list has few column validation and calculated fields. Would they cause the error message?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
