In my opinion this is what you want to achieve. You will sum per category?

Please have a look a the following link:

http://blogit.create.pt/blogs/miguelisidoro/archive/2008/08/02/InfoPath-2007-_2D00_-Conditional-SUM.aspx

Regards,

Re: Repeating table drop-down option sums

Hi Paul,

I understand your problem as that if you change the dropdown value in the repeating control that it changes the value for all instances instead of just the one row. If that is the case, then the problem is likely that your dropdown control isn't bound correctly. You'll need to make sure its bound to a field under the same repeating group that the table is bound to. Then the values we be different for each row.

If I misunderstood, feel free to clarify and I can try to answer your question better :)

Repeating table drop-down option sums

Hi

I have a drop-down option in a repeating table which allows the user to select a category. The user can then enter an amount in another field. I'm trying to break down the totals for each category option, e.g. Food, Travel, Hotel, etc.

Playing with the form I think part of the problem I have is the category doesn't appear to change from line to line. Any ideas?

Thanks, Paul
