You can just add rules and actions to set all of the fields in your form when the user clicks a button called Reset. It will take you some time to set these up (especially if you have a lot of fields), and you will have to do it separately for each form template you develop, but if it's just one form and you have less than 40 fields on the view, I'm guessing it will only take you 15-30 minutes to create the rules and actions to set these values to blank. When you set the fields, just leave the value blank, or you can set it to a default value if you want.

We get a lot of people who ask us about S.Y.M.'s techniques. Unfortunately, we can't support her site for free.

We'd be happy to show you how to do what she is describing, but we will need to be paid for our time. You can purchase a single support pack ($150) from Qdabra's web site and we will schedule an hour of time to help you do what she describes.

Thanks!

Reset all fields in a View, including a repeating table using code

I am contemplating using a reset button on my form (IP 2007) using a technique by S.Y.M. Wong-A-Ton, found here: http://www.bizsupportonline.net/blog/2009/08/clear-reset-fields-infopath-3-lines-code/

The tutorial was written for IP 2010 so I am not sure it will work for me - I plan to give it a try later. Apparently Wong-A-Ton is not available to answer questions so I was wondering if anyone knew if his recommended code could be used on one view in the form only rather than the entire form? I have a form with several views, but I only want one view to allow the user an option to clear all (or reset all) fields including some a repeating tables.

Has anyone tryed this before?
