For question 1 - I'd use a web service. If you use a web service, you can create a data connection in the form to submit to the web service - then you don't have to make your form full trust.

For question 2 - I'm sorry, I don't really understand the question. What are you currently doing? What do you mean by "I am not able to catch path of the second repeated section" - in code? You'd use an XPathNodeIterator for the repeating node and just use a foreach to loop through the XPathNavigators....

Saving infopath data to Oracle database and Repeating section issue

Hi,

In this post i would like to share my issues related to infopath. I have two different issues, for one i need a sugeestion on which method to follow as a best practice and for the other i need a way to accoplish the task.

Below are the details.

1.) Saving data from infopath form to oracle : For this we have two methods to accomplish the task we can use code behind for infopath form and insert the data directly to the oracle database and the other is to use an ASP.net webservice to insert the same data. Can anyone please help me to choose the best option among the two.

2.) Saving data from repeated sections: I have a repeated section and the section has some fields in it like textboxes, checkboxes. first i will fill the data for the first repeating section fields and will repeat the section fill some other data to teh fields. now the task is to fill the insert the second repeated section data into oracle database table into a new row. But the problem here is i am not able to catch path of the second repeated section fields to insert the values from them to database. Can any one please help me solving the issue. This has been a night mare for me since 6 months and now i am in a do or die situation.

Thanks in advance :)
