This has been discussed previously, such as here, here and here. This is a good read as well. Good luck.
How to send details of filled form to DB

Hi All,

I am using Infopath and sharepoint 2007.

I have a form which is published. now i go to sharepoint site.

As usual, i go to the document libraries and select the library i published to; and, then go to create, it opens a form to fill information.

Now, the information which i fill in the form is saved in the form.

But, i want the information which i enter to be saved in a database table.

Can anyone please tell me how to proceed .

And, another question:

what is a sharepoint list and is it similar to a database table.

Can you please guide me as to should i require a separate database instance or not.

As, currently i have only a sharepoint site and infopath installed.

please answer my queries.

Vishal
