I've also checked the file associations and they look good. It's a really wierd problem, the fact you can still create a new form still stuns me..

Re: *ISSUE* Client based form opening in browser displaying xml code

Just a thought; Repair the InfoPath installation? If XMl documents with the proper processing instructions are not recognized and opened as InfoPath forms, then it may be because explorer doesn't think they are associated anymore.

*ISSUE* Client based form opening in browser displaying xml code

hi all,

im not sure if there's anyone that's encountered this, but Im having an issue with a form that i created. there are two cases where people have opened the form via the email notification workflow which opens up a web browser that shows all the xml code for that form.

Its a client based form and it is assigned as such in the SharePoint form library.

I have checked Internet explorer (Version 8) and using Unicode (UTF-8)

The form works when they log onto other workstations and they are able to create new forms.

Renamed user profile and redownloaded a new profile with no change.

There is only 2 cases out of the 50 that have been used, where this happens.

Current system being used.. windows xp and IE 8

If i copy the link from the email the form works. Its only when the two users click on the email link.

Any suggestions or ideas i can tackle this problem?

Thanks,

Carlo dela cruz
