I am only familiar with InfoPath 2007 and this "parts" may be something that is introduced in InfoPath 2010 that I do not know about.

If you are talking about a form where you need to show/not show something based on a value in a drop down, you should use Conditional Formatting. Wrap all the layout and controls of part 1 in a section and layout and controls for part 2 in another section. Right click on the first section and choose "onditional Formatting". Enter the expression that must be tru for the section to NOT show, and check the "Hide this" check box. Do the same for the second section.

Does that help? Or have I missed the point(tm)?

Filtering a form

I am in the process of creating a dual form (it collects 2 different types of data and is therefore split into two parts). What i would like to do is filter for either of the 2 parts using a drop down box at the top of the form so the form will only display the specified part. I have looked on many forum sites for this but cannot see this specific function. Any advise would be much appreciated :-)
