To display Forms library columns in the InfoPath form, I did the following (Please excuse any ambiguity as this is from memory).

1) Created a number of fields, on each, under 'display' ticked the box to make these 'Read Only'

2) Published the form and under the 'Property promotion' made sure that all of these columns were able to be edited in Datasheetview. (This is needed so that the workflow can update the columns).

3) When publishing the form, I made sure that this created a new Document library. (This didnt seem to work when saving as a content type) and created new columns in the library.

I then simply amended the Nintex workflow so that when a new Item was added to the forms library, this run the workflow and updated the relevant columns.

4) When I reopened the form, these were now showing the data from the newly updated columns.

In 2010, you have the option of returning data about just this form when opened, so if you have form 1 in your library, and you open it, your secondary data connection returns just info for that form. You can also, in ShP 2010, use the OData service ListData.svc as a REST connection.

In 2007, you'll either end up returning all items and using XPath filters to get just the data you want or using code (or qRules) with an owssvr data connection.....

Displaying Columns from Forms Library In InfoPath

This is going to sound like a really simple question, but here goes.

I have 10 Fields in total.

I have designed my InfoPath 2007 Browser form and submitting data from 2 of the fields to the Forms Library, works all hunk dory.

Once the Form has submitted a Nintex workflow pulls in and populates the other 8 fields, which are custom columns. I can see that the workflow works fine when the form is submitted, so the information is there.

Quite Simply, How do I show these fields that are not user inputted?

This only has to be when the user reopens the form for the second time.

Thanks
