Let's say your Access database table columns are: project # and project Member. In this example, there can be many project Members for
each project# e.g.

Project # Member
1 Bob
1 Mary
1 Jane
2 Mary
2 Jane

The users are completing an Info path form to populate this table and specify the members for a particular Project #
You want them just to enter the project # once:
Project #: 1
Names: Bob
            Mary
            Jane

Have a look at the attached Info path form template - it's not
linked to Microsoft Access database, but demonstrates how you can
populate a repeating table with a value in all rows from an external
field the user fills in.

Re: Submit field to multiple records in Microsoft Access Database

"Don't display the new fields to the user".
When you say:

"Create the fields inside the repeating table as well". Do you mean insert the same control in a new column in the repeating table? When I do this and hover the mouse over the control it says "@controlname (control stores duplicate data)". Is this correct?

"Set the default value of these fields = to the matching field outside the repeating group..." How is this formula supposed to look? I don't think I'm doing it right. When I test the form the first row in the repeating table shows the information but when I create new rows the information does not auto copy into the new rows.

"Don't display the new fields to the user". How do I do this?

Thanks!
