And in doing so I needed to recreate new InfoPath forms for almost every existing form on the the old intranet. Due to them being out of date with procedures and changes in data capture and to make forms browser enabled.

One of the issues I face, is that the old forms were a disaster, meaning that some of the data sources were never named, wrong data types may have been used, or data source added at form creation that had a control bound to it may have been removed, and the list continues...

So I created new forms, with a clean data structures, and a crisp clean look.

Now I have several Libraries tagged as "archived" because I need to figure out what to do with all this information. I can't merge with new forms since data structure on old forms are so messed up, and I am unable to really find a good solution.

I thought about creating an Access database then pulling all the xml data into it, renaming columns, cleaning up duplicates then republishing as a list. But this seems very labor intensive and time consuming. I am looking at several thousand InfoPath forms worth of data. I need to make this usable data.

Is there any advice on how to go about this procedure? I am at a loss and would really like to clean up the mess that was created by allowing anyone and everyone that had access to the form make their own changes(I have since changed the policy on that, and it is a better situation!)

Any input would be helpful.
