This is an Infopath 2007 question.

I created a cascading dropdown in infopath using the ID of a secondary data source. The problem is I want the REAL data (not the ID) to post to my list.

Here is my setup & a bit more detail.

I have a Secondary data source: Addresses

I have 1 dropdown box called address and 3 text boxes called city, state, and zip respectively.

Selecting a Property address in the dropdown box populates the respective city, state, and zip text boxes.

This does work but I have run into a problem. The standard way of creating this cascade requires you to use the @ID field of your datasource in the Value field of the data tab.

Before creating the cascading effect I had simply had @PropertyAddress in both the "Value" and "Display Name" of the address (located under dropdown box properties).

When the user submits the form to the sharepoint list they have not submitted 123 elm street but rather the ID of the record holding it.

How do I get the address to submit and not the ID of the address. Note the city, state, and zip code fields all submit correctly.

Thanks for any help;
