Well, you should change your schema fields to be descriptive names (don't use Field 14, but instead a description about what the field is; for example, "PerformCalc").

You want to add a condition for Field79 only - check whether or not it is a given value and if so, perform an action to set Field14. Does that make sense?

We have an InfoPath End User training class coming up in 3 weeks. If you have budget to do training, I highly recommend it.

More after you respond,

Re: Populating a field only when another is checked-RUSH

Patrick, I am sorry, but I am not understanding. I have added a rule that states that Field 14 (which is the field with the calcualtion) is equal to Field79 (the option box)?

Re: Populating a field only when another is checked-RUSH

Hi Lyndsey,

Just add a condition to the rule, select the field and say is equal to the value you want to check before you run the calculation.

Populating a field only when another is checked-RUSH

I am creating a form that calculates the travel advance amount based on the data entered into other fields. I go the calculation working (and rounding up thanks to you guys) but now I was wondering if there was a way for that particular field to only populate the calculation total if a "yes, I need a travel advance" check box is checked, and not to populate if the the:"no, I do not need a travel advance" check bos is checked.
