Formatting Time and Submitting to SharePoint in InfoPath 2003

Hi,

I need some help and am using InfoPath 2003 with SharePoint. I would like to create a Request ID (and store this value when it is submitted to SharePoint), and would like it to look like the following format/

2011.0111.143436

So I created a Text Box called RequestID, then created a DefaultValue using the fx button, and unchecked the option for "Update this value when the rest of the formula is recalculated" and have come up with this formula:

concat(substring(today(), 1, 4), ".", substring(today(), 6, 2), substring(today(), 9, 2), ".", substring-after(now(), "T"))

I have 2 problems:

#1 - The format of this looks like:

2011.0209.16:57:52

So on this I would like to know how to get the time to show hours, minutes, and seconds without :'s as shown in my example.

#2 - When I submit this to SharePoint, will the RequestID be submitted to SharePoint, or is there another way I have to set this for it to work?

Thank you in advance for your help. I am out of ideas! (My idea is to use this as a unique value (vs. the SharePoint ID field)), to generate a unique number for this request.
