You don't need to write code. Just inject qRules and use rules to set a command in a secondary data source. When qRules sees that command field change it executes the insert. Here's a blog post that uses Insert to copy SharePoint list values into yoru form (which requires inserting new rows): http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/qrules/entry58577.aspx

Here's another forum post from 2009 with an example: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/12968/45818.aspx

Downloading qRules, injecting and adding the command should take you no more than 30 minutes.

I think the answer is to create a new button that does your insert for you using code. See the following:

http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/9514/33687.aspx
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointinfopath/thread/74de7183-e667-425c-8da4-075ce9e9a671/.

Customize insert button within a repeating section

I am currently using InfoPath 2003 and want to know if there is a way to customize the insert button and hint text within a repeating section. The function of the button is to add more orders, however, this is often overlooked (text too small probably) and the client ends up completing multiple InfoPath forms. Ideally, I would either like to make the font bigger or perhaps change the color of the font but I do not know if this is an option.
