Hey Patrick

I have same problem when I try to use ‘Remote Desktop Connection’ to access InfoPath form (infopath 2010).

The resolution of the exported PDF files depends on Remote desktop size.

1024 X768 (or 1152x864) -> good

1280 X 1024 -> not good (there is a horizontal black line on bottom of page)

1920X 1080 (or full screen) -> not good (there is a vertical black line on right of page)

Any suggestion to solve this one?

I've figured out the issue. Please disregard what I said about the Print Previews.

My client failed to tell me that the black lines only appear when printing from a converted PDF using Adobe Acrobat. When printing the form directly within InfoPath, it looks perfect and no lines appear.

I then resolved the issue by using the "Publish to PDF/XPS" button provided in InfoPath instead of using Adobe Acrobat. Although this eradicated the black lines, I noticed the quality of the PDF is not as good. For example, certain borders in tables appear to be lighter than others. I googled this problem and downloaded the A-PDF software, which is supposed to specialize in seamless conversions of XSN and XML files into PDF.

Do you have a Print View defined by mistake? Have you looked at the Print Properties for that view? My hunch is that you have something in those settings that you aren't aware of. Otherwise, I have no idea.

Hello All, I have a problem with InfoPath that is driving me insane. I noticed that when I print out all of my forms, there is a black line that appears on the right and bottom of my form. It looks like some sort of border, but only on the right and bottom of the page. At first, I thought it had something to do with the page margins, but I disproved that. Then I thought maybe it was the printer, but I printed it off on other printers, with the same results. When I convert the form into PDF, it looks fine on the screen, but when I print it out, the border shows up yet again. One more thing, I actually noticed that you can see the border in Print Preview in Infopath. The border reminds me of one thing: when you print off linked JPEGs in Internet Explorer. Anyhow, I proceeded to open a brand new Infopath form, and again, I could see the border in Print Preview. I've tried this with Infopath 2007 and 2010, all with the same results. Is there some obscure setting that I'm missing out on or is this a bug? Does anyone else have this problem? If so, can you please help me? My sanity depends on this. Thank you! UPDATE: After further investigation, I have cause to believe this has something to do with the security settings of the form. The forms that do not have "Protection Enabled" print properly, with no borders. However, I have since upgraded from InfoPath 2007 to 2010 and I cannot see this checkbox in the 2010 version. I will revert back to 2007, change the setting, upgrade back to 2010 and see how that goes.
