We do hav a script to parse the InfoPath email send from SharePoint, and it was working fine to extract the attachments from the email content.

However, somehow recently the attachments been embedded into the XML(we used to get the attachments in separated sections than XML section of eamil content), so we are not able to get its header, file name, and file extension anymore.

Still have no idea about why the attachment been embedded.

The qRules seems pretty nice, but we probably don't need that much functions for now.

Re: InfoPath 2007 separate attached files from xsn template

I assume you have some code that parses the email, but it would take some debugging to figure out why that's not working.

What we typically suggest is using qRules which allows you to save the attachments to a Sharepoint document library, for example. The XML retains only a link to the location where the document is stored, thus keeping the xml file size under control.

InfoPath 2007 separate attached files from xsn template

Hello,

We got an issue on InfoPath 2007 to separate uploaded form attachment with the xsn form template.

We are using SharePoint 2007 and InfoPath 2007, and we were able to get individual attachment from each submitted form email and parse the email to extract the attachment.

However, we are not able to get the separated attachment anymore now.

We can only get all attachments embedded on the xml, which means we have to open the xml file by InfoPath first, and then see the attachment.

Is there a way to modify the InfoPath configure to separate the attachment from the xml or xsn, so our parser can directly extract the form attachment? We did try many different combination settings on the Form option or submit option, such as submit form data only, or do not attach form template, but still no luck. Appreciate if anyone can give us a hint on this issue.

Thanks in advance,

Ken
