Your best bet here is to create multiple views so that the users can page through the data entry. If you limit your views to 50-100 (or it seems like 300 in your case) fields the performance should be fine.

Hope this helps!

SLOW 10 seconds to move to next field

I have a relatively simple form, with 978 fields. All the fields were created in XML as the form was designed by default. Their names are just the default "field1, field2, etc. as the database is not important.

The data types consist of just text strings, and rich text fields, which have spell check on. There are no field validations, no rules, etc.

When entering data, the first 300 fields (approximately), the speed is reasonably good. Then it suddenly slows to a crawl, where it takes 10 seconds after entering data for the system to move to the next field. If no data is entered, it moves quickly to the next field.

What can I do to fix this problem?

Thanks
