It asked me to upgrade, which I did.
Your talking about the "Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools Office Second Edition" patch from the homepage?
Done that, no change. Installed the two .Net 3.0 files as well with no effect. However, the Workflow install linked in the homepage called itself VSTO and wanted to reinstall when I ran it, which I thought was weird.
From what I understood from previous reading the VSTO is for Office add-ins, not IP templates. From what I've read to open templates all I should need was installed with InfoPath. Is there any way to direct Visual Studio to find the InfoPath application information manually?

This is in a VM so reinstalling isn't a big deal. I tried that as well with no success.

Any other suggestions?

Re: Visual Studio 2005 doesn't see IP 2007

If you are opening the template file, it will ask you to upgrade. You shouldn't have to blow away the Windows install. You should be able to install VSTO 2005 and then the patch (linked to from our home page).

Re: Visual Studio 2005 doesn't see IP 2007

quote:

Hi djay,

What version of VSTO you installed? If you installed correct version and still not getting then once reinstall every thing.

Yea it's the 2005 version. But it looks like it is not needed to just open a template. It looks like VSTO is for add-ins to the Office programs, which I can create in VS.
I guess I will blow away my windows install and start over.
Is there an order of installation that is best to ensure compatability?

Re: Visual Studio 2005 doesn't see IP 2007

Hi djay,

What version of VSTO you installed?
