That's a bit manual but would be really simple.

You could also programmatically launch Word and Print through InfoPath. That will require Full Trust to do but you'd be able to automate it more. We can help you set that up. Let us know.

Re: Launching a form and a doc simultaneously .......????

Thanks for the prompt response....

Lets start again. I have an asset form (infopathform) where all info is captured "make, model and frequency of different maintenace schedules etc (calibration ,perfromance monitoring etc.)

We then have different sceduling labraries for Calibration etc....(sharepoint- infopath forms which uses DBXL web service - to write and retrieve from SQL)

Each job should have an associated SOP ( standard operating instruction)( stored in sharepoint documnet library which controlled by quality.

The end result im looking for is when a Calibration job gets printed ,the associate SOP for the job can also be printed.

I'm not sure I understand your scenario exactly. Are you saying you want to link the Asset Registers and Job Scheduling forms stored in DBXL with a SOP document stored in a Document Library? If so, you can just add links to the DBXL documents. DBXL uses the format http://<server>/QdabraWebService/Documents/<docID>/<docID>.xml when referring to forms. You can also use the name of the document in place of the second <docID> if you know it.

Please help me understand your requirements better (desired user workflow) and I will respond again tomorrow.

Thanks for your patience,

We have several forms which store information using DBXL webservice and SQL, (Asset Registers , Job scheduling etc).We also have sharepoint document Libary which is used to store SOP(standard operating procedures). Is there any way to link A form when opened with a designated document in sharepoint and then print . (The job card as well as the instructions which is contained in the document libary).

Several assets would reference one SOP , the Sop will also be updated from time to time...hence when printing the SOP will always be the latest.

Thanks in advance
