You may want to consider a Word SmartDoc solution instead so your users don't have to deal with two applications in this scenario.

Re: Is infopath suitable for my project?

Hi Mattias and welcome to the forums.

I think I would need a little more detail about your project to weigh in on if InfoPath is the right solution for you. In general using InfoPath as a rich text editor is not a good use of InfoPath - it's not Word.

However, depending upon the type of data that you are displaying in Word and how you need to select this information InfoPath could be a good solution.

The one thing you should know is that there is no direct or easy way to take an InfoPath form and "save as Word". You actually have to create an XML mapping in Word to map the data from InfoPath into Word. Once you have it running it works nicely, but it does take some time to master it.

If you give a few more details on exactly what you are trying to accomplish others might be able to chime in too.

Is infopath suitable for my project?

Hi!

As of what I've heard, InfoPath is great to gather information. So I have a question regarding how good InfoPath fits my problem. To begin with, say I want to generate a huge word document consisting of several other word documents by just, for example, check some checkboxes. Is there anything in InfoPath that would make this particulary easy?

/Mattias
