I can translate spaces to a character(~) and then translate it back on the other end. Before External call replace spaces with a character, make call, change back or delete. In external script I can translate the character to spaces.

Not ideal but it works.

Embed Quotes in String

Oh Great VBScript Gurus.

I am launching a windows script via a button in Infopath and passing some variables to it. I need to pass some variables which have spaces in them and therefore need the command line to have quotes(").

I have seen in VB where quotes can be embedded (""Test"") supposedly but I am getting an error with InfoPath. Anybody have some Ideas on how I can take a string variable from Infopath ( my name ) and pass it to the command line as (cscript test.js "my name") so that my windows script can utilize it. The spaces are not consistent so I cannot really make allowances for the spaces and need the dynamics the quotes can give me.

Otherwise I thought I had seen a thread or some info on passing variables between Infopath forms or multiple scripts. Any one have some code to pass a variable from my Infopath form to my javascript? What is the syntax to reference a particular form node which is already open within a script? I know how to create a new InfoPath form and reference it but would need some help on identifying one already open.

Thanks
