We are not very knowledgeable of Access scenarios. It's possible InfoPath just doesn't support this. If you have a SQL database, we have a Web service that supports this scenario of writing rows to a detail table. Please send me e-mail if you'd like to try it out. Sorry I wasn't more helpful!

master with multiple details

I have a form with master/detail relationship, saving to an access database. Now what I'd like to do is to add a record to another table whenever the form is submitted. This record would save basic information to build a revision history for the form, basically who and when.

Database design key fields:

MasterTable: RecordID
DetailTable: RecordID,DetailID
RevisionTable RecordID,RevisionID

I don't need to recreate the details of the prior revisions, so I'm not keying the master or details to the revision. That also reduces my database size.

When I create my databse connections, I'm only able to add a single detail table. If I add a secondary connection for my revision history, it is readonly.

I am using Infopath 2003 sp1 with visual studio 2003.

Anybody know how I can accomplish this?
