You can, however, edit the fields under the queryFields node.

If you want to edit data and then submit back to the database you will have to create a new form from a database connection. This will make the connection to the database the Main DOM and you will be able to edit fields and then hit Submit to submit the new record to the database or overwrite another one.

Another option is to use our Database Accelerator suite to shred the Main DOM into SQL tables by defining mappings between the XML and Relational data structures.
<br /http://www.qdabra.com/proddetail.asp?prod=QDBXL1

script populate field that is bound to database

I have a form created using a data connection, all fields on the form and every thing works fine except I need to populate some fields.

I have 4 date fields, fields 3 & 4 are bound just the same to the datasource. I wish these to be populated though script as they are date calculations based on the start date & end date values:

Field 1 = start date
Field 2 = finish date
Field 3 = 30% date
Feild 4 = 60% date

However I can't modify the field at all using ".nodeValue" or ".text". I created a simple new form and use the same code and if the field is not databound the script works. How can I populate a database bound field through script?

Please please help, it's been days.
