You can buy a code-signing certificate from a third party - like Verisign - and use that anywhere connected to the Internet (and anywhere that trusts Verisign! :)). The downside is that they are expensive. I think ~$500 for a code-signing certificate.

If you are using CA that is installed on your server, however, it will likely require domain trust. If you're target user is not part of a domain that trusts the domain where your CA is running, it won't work. It may also be tough to set up the domains to trust one another.

Good luck!

problem with CA and digital certificate

Hi all,
I have a form template digitally signed to make it full trust. I have requested the certificate from our comporate CA.

One my user from another country cannot accept the certificate becouse in the security alert there's the following message:
"
The publisher has not been authenticated and therefore could be imitated. Do not trust the credential.
[...]
"
and the checkbox is disabled. In his country, there's not Active direcory yet. Here's my question: can I make the CA I used trusted in that country? Is this due to AD missing? What can i do to solve the problem?

Thank u!
