Are you trying to change the field value before sending the email or in the middle of the email send operation. If you are signing the entire data source then you will not be able to change that status field. What you have to do is move that status field outside the rest of the data tree and then only sign the subtree which needs to be locked. Then you can update the status field each time another user signs.

Find out which signature block has been signed

Hi,

I am happy I found this forum and hope you can help me.

I want to find out which signature block was signed and then send e-mail and change a field called Status accordingly. This field is a field in a SharePoint Form Library.

If I use the OnAfterChange event for the signature, I am able to send the e-mail, but I am told the DOM is read-only if I want to change a field value.

Now I am thinking of testing which signature block was signed with

XDocument.SignedDataBlocks.Item(27).Signatures.Count==1

but this tests only signature number 28.

The document which is an approval one, will require 28 signatures before a new product is allowed to be manufactured.

I want the satus to change to i.e. "QA Approved" if person a approves(signs the form), then to "Tech Committee Approved", etc.

Can anyone guide me how I could do this?

Thanks!

My form is fully trusted.

Christiane
